Happy Late Birthday Bailee

Bailee turned 13 yesterday. I can't believe how fast time goes by. Finally a teenager, although Dayna says she has been acting like one for years. Your awesome Bailee and I love you! I am getting used to being called "grandma" but it took a little while. Now I know why people say being a grandparent is the VERY BEST THING. I love every day of it.

new addition!!

Since my last post a few months ago we've had a new addition the the family. Hunter Bryan Maples was born on March 4,2009. He was 7 lbs and 11 oz. 20 inches long. We've had so much fun with him the past six weeks. Here are a few pictures that we have of him!

Learning to Sew

Dayna taught Aimee and Bailee how to make baby nightgowns. They learned how to make them and then displayed them at their Young Women In Excellence Night this week. They had fun learning something new.

Homecoming Day

This is really a late post as Homecoming was almost a month ago. I'm not so good at keeping up. Aimee looked very cute and had fun on her date.

Aimee's going to Homecoming!!

Aimee got asked to homecoming by one of her friends Eric. He had dayna and bryan bring over two bags of flour that had pieces of paper in it and she needed to put together the message to find out who was asking her. Little did she know the papers said nothing. About an hour later he brought over a dozen roses "flowers" and asked her. She decided that she needed to do something clever to answer him back. She had bryan dress up as santa clause and deliver some presents that she wrapped and labeled. The last one said YES. Bryan drove over to his house in the santa suit and delivered the sack of presents. We sat in the car and watched (except for bailee who was videoing). We were all laughing until we cried. Funny that Elder Wirthlin talked about lauging in his conference talk. Just what I needed to hear. We got a lot of very strange looks from people wondering why Santa was out driving in October. Bryan is a great "actor" and a good sport for helping Aimee. Homecoming is next sat and I am excited that she is going! As you can see by this post, Aimee and Tucker are a thing of the past. This is a good thing for all. For more pictures of santa see dayna's blog. Never a dull moment with Bryan around. Thanks Bryan for making my day!

First boy in this Huber family

I went with dayna and bryan to the doctor appointment where they got the ultrasound done. They are having a boy! I don't know what to do with a boy. It will be a first. It will also be an adventure for grandma and grandpa huber if it's anything like bryan!! We are very excited for them and can't wait to see what a boy will bring to this family :)
